Tuesday October 30th members of the ATD team attended the Chicago Women In Trades. Led by tradeswomen, CWIT continues to work toward changing these statistics by providing support and education to tradeswomen; increasing training for women and girls to enter nontraditional jobs; providing technical assistance to employers, unions, and other tradeswomen groups; documenting trends in the nontraditional workplace; and advocating for improved policies and practices that support women’s access to nontraditional training and jobs, as well as success and safety on the job.
Safety is our priority at ATD. In efforts to keep our employees comfortable and safe, Sgt. Chris of the Romeoville PD conducted a seminar for us on how to react to an active shooter using the ALICE training technique. Alice stands for Alert Lockdown Inform Counter Evacuate!
Two members of our ATD team, Steve Popp and Brad Wloszczynski participated in a two day estimating training course through the IUPAT (International Union of Painters and Allied Trades)!
