The early 1980’s developed a porcelainized enamel coating for the metal building industry that would provide ultimate protection of the base steel substrate, but once weathered or the owner wanted a new look it became a difficult system to coat and adhere coatings successfully to. In development with the metal manufacturer in the early 2000’s, ATD has successfully completed many projects with high performance fluoropolymer weathering abilities. This hospital indeed was in need of a make-over with modern colors but at a cost to paint and not remove the existing integrated wall system. ATD recommended and tested such a solution with success and were awarded the project update. Full containment with negative air machines were utilized to keep fumes and vapors from entering the surgical ward of the facility successfully.
